Privacy & data

Information we use
- Sign-in: ChatGPT sign-in supplies a site-specific account identifier and your email address. Clutch does not receive your Google or ChatGPT password. You can browse, compare gear and plan a setup without signing in.
- Browser saves: watchlists, price targets, comparison choices and desk layouts stay in this browser unless you explicitly save supported data to your account. Clearing browser site data removes those local copies.
- Account saves: we store your email, watchlist, setups, saved targets and the version of your account copy. Existing alert preferences, rules, inbox events and delivery records remain manageable in your account. Opening account features can create an empty account record.
- Delivery records: message identifiers, delivery status and receipt times support delivery checks and bounce or complaint handling. Full email-provider event payloads are not stored in the application database. Customer price-alert email is currently unavailable.
- Service records: review evidence, maintenance timestamps and aggregate outcomes help operate the service. Hosting providers may process technical request and security logs under their own policies.
Purpose and sharing
We use account data to provide requested saves, support, account controls and delivery safeguards. Clutch does not sell account data or add advertising trackers. Site access and sign-in may use hosting and authentication cookies; our saved preferences use browser storage.
OpenAI Sites supplies access and hosting infrastructure, and Clutch stores application records with Cloudflare. Support messages are handled in Google Workspace. When retailer lookup is available, the requested product identifier is sent to that retailer. Resend handles alert email when delivery is available and a user has opted in. External retailer, manufacturer and research-source links open services with their own privacy practices. Store-search links send your entered product text to Google only when you open them.
Optional usage counts
Optional counting is off by default and requires your opt-in through Optional usage counts in the footer when that control is available. Your choice stays in this browser. Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track signals keep counting off. You can turn counting off at any time.
These counts contain only a day, an action category and a combined total for views, comparisons, saves, alert actions, setup actions and paid retailer clicks. They contain no account IDs, emails, IP addresses, search text, product choices, destination URLs or individual event histories. Hosting logs are separate. Combined counts expire after 90 days during housekeeping or the next counted event. Opting out stops future counting; already combined totals cannot be attributed back to you.
Sharing links
Shared setup links include the setup name, selected products, dimensions, positions, view and budget. They do not include your account or watchlist. Anyone receiving the link can read its contents. Search and comparison links also expose the choices included in their URLs. Check what you are sharing before sending a link.
Paid retailer links, if displayed, carry a commission disclosure. Clutch does not append account identifiers, emails or saved targets to them or keep personal click histories. Retailers and networks may use their own attribution cookies after you follow a link.
Your controls
Open Account to save or load an account copy, export your data or delete active account records. Existing alert rules and email preferences can be removed or turned off there. Deletion removes cloud watchlists, setups, alerts, inbox records and email-event records linked to those notifications. It does not clear local browser copies, erase your ChatGPT account or retract previously delivered email.
Opening account features after deletion creates a new empty record. Saving browser data again uploads a new copy. Downloaded exports are under your control. Contact support about information you cannot remove through these controls.
Retention and backups
Account identifiers, saved data, alert rules and preferences remain until you delete the account or remove the relevant data. Email suppression preferences remain with the account to prevent a delivery failure or complaint from silently re-enabling email.
Inbox events and email-event metadata are removed after 30 days by daily housekeeping. Expired records remain until a successful cleanup. Product-review evidence and maintenance summaries are retained to support sourcing and service operation.
Encrypted recovery copies are kept in private storage and removed after 30 days by housekeeping. The operator holds the recovery key separately. Account deletion does not rewrite an existing backup; later deletions, opt-outs and suppression changes must be reapplied before a restored service resumes. Downloaded recovery copies follow the same 30-day retention policy. Provider-held records and backups follow the provider's policies and may not be erased immediately.
